Leila Lopes (19 November1959 – 3 December 2009) was a Brazilian actress, journalist and presenter oftelevision, known for her appearance in soap operas on the Rede Globo channel, and later for entering the pornographic cinema.BornLeila Gomes Lopes in São Leopoldo,Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, she was the daughter of Reúcio Lopes, a teacher from Esteio, and Natália Gomes Lopes. She lived in Esteio with herparents until she became famous in 1990 when she became a journalist for thetelevision channel Rede Globo. She appeared twice in Playboy magazine, thefirst time in March 1997 and also in May 2008 after producing the pornographicfilm Brasileirinhas.[1] Her lastwork had been as a presenter of the television program, Entre 4 Paredes com Leila Lopes. She alsoappeared on JustTV, Calcinha Justa, andSexprivé.

Born to Cape Verdean immigrants in Benguela, Angola, Lopes is a business management student in Great Britain, where she was crowned Miss Angola UK on October 8, 2010, the official representative of the Angolan community in the United Kingdom to the 2011 Miss Angola pageant held in Luanda.

Lopes, who stands 1.79 m (5 ft 10 1⁄2 in) tall, obtained the Photogenic Award and became the eventual winner of the title, gaining the right to represent Angola in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, to be broadcast live from São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.
