The X Factor is a Philippine television music competition, adapted from the original UK show as part of The X Factor franchise, to find new singing talent.
For some time now, ABS-CBN has been showing the X Factor logo after airing its TV shows. Some viewers might have thought that it refers to The X Factor US, which is currently being aired on Studio 23. However, a new teaser indicates that The X Factor actually refers to the Philippine edition of the reality talent search conceptualized by former American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
The teaser flashes photos of known Kapamilya singers and accompanied with their respective tags: Martin Nievera (Concert King Factor), Gary Valenciano (Pure Energy Factor), Zsa Zsa Padilla (Divine Diva Factor), Sarah Geronimo (Pop Princess Factor), Yeng Constantino (Pop Rock Princess Factor), Jovit Baldivino (Rock Prince Factor), Piolo Pascual (Singing Heartthrob Factor), and Sharon Cuneta (Mega Factor).
