Wil Time Bigtime Anniversary Accident
Wil Time BigTime will celebrate its 1st year anniversary with a big show at Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 22 and they are now taking precautions so as not to cause any on toward incident as what happened in the past.
There's a report that 17 people including an old woman were rushed to separate hospitals in Quezon City after they fainted during the Wil Time Bigtime Anniversary ticket distribution at the Amoranto Stadium at A. Roces on Friday, October 14, 2011.
A tabloid report said an unidentified woman is in critical condition and is in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Capitol Medical Center due to heart attack / high blood pressure.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reportedly said thousands of hopefuls lined up since Thursday to get tickets for the 1st Anniversary celebration of Wil Time Bigtime at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 22.
The report said people started to scramble to get ahead of others in the line when the ticket distribution started, which was the most possible reason why the victims were squashed.
Traffic condition in Scout Chuatoco and Quezon Avenue, from Araneta to Timog Avenue was also affected during the ticketing activity, the report said.
Wil Time BigTime is a variety/game show hosted and co-produced by Willie Revillame which airs on TV5.
It can be remembered that Revillame's former game show, Wowowee, became very controversial after the tragic Ultra stampede occurred at the Philsports Arena (Ultra) in Pasig City on February 4, 2006. The incident left 78 people dead and about 400 others injured.
At least 30,000 people gathered outside the stadium waiting to participate in the first anniversary episode of the former television variety show Wowowee when the stampede took place.
