LA MESA DAM is in RED ALERT status retracted

Finance, Red alert status raised, as waters rise at La Mesa Dam, La Mesa dam placed on red alert
Red alert status has been raised at the La Mesa Dam in Quezon City Tuesday as the water level continued to rise due to heavy rains brought about by Typhoon Pedring, according to an official.

Dam manager Engr. Teddy Angeles said the water level has already reached 79.61 meters as of 11 am.

Angeles said that if the heavy rains continue, the water level in the dam will reach the 80.15-meter spilling level.

Yellow alert status was previously raised when the water level reached 79.59 meters.
